Forgotten Windows admin password?? Tricks to resest here (for windows 7)

Best way to reset windows password if you are not logged in or unable to log in.


Note: This method applies only for windows 7 users.

First,       Boot the windows via Windows 7 Bootable disc.

Second,  Select "Repair your computer" option.



Third,     Follow through untill you see the "Command Prompt" option. Click on it.


Fourth, Type or copy the following command in the same way as given in the image below the fifth step.

"copy c:\windows\system32\sethc.exe c:\"

Fifth,     Again type, or copy the following command in the same way as given in the image below.


Now restart your pc.

Resetting the password


After login screen appears, hit the Shift key 5 times, and you’ll see an administrator mode command prompt.


Now type or copy the following command, replacing the username and password with the combination you want: 

"net user geek MyNewPassword"

Done, Now you can log in.

Of course, you’ll probably want to put the original sethc.exe file back, which you can do by rebooting into the installation CD, opening the command prompt, and copying the c:\sethc.exe file back to c:\windows\system32\sethc.exe.

Convert FAT32 drive to NTFS in Windows

Method 1: By Formatting The Drive


1. Right click on the drive which you want to convet to NTFS.
2. Then click on format option. Format dialog box will then appear.


3. Select NTFS option in the file system option.
4. Don't tick Quick Format option.
5. Click Start and after formatting process is over your drive is converted to NTFS.


Method 2: Convertion to NTFS using Command Prompt.


1. Open Command Prompt by clicking Windows key + R, then type cmd and press Enter.(Now the Command Prompt windows is launched)

2. Type convert d: /fs:ntfs in Command Prompt Windows opened.

3. Press enter. And you are done.

Method to create UEFI bootable USB/Pendrive/Flashdrive to install any version of windows

If you have a UEFI based system you have to format and install windows using a UEFI bootable DVD or USB. In the following method we will show you each and every step to create UEFI bootable USB/Pendrive/Flashdrive to install any version of windows.

METHOD 1 : Format the Pen drive using FAT32 file system. Steps are listed below to format

1. Insert USB flash drive.
2. Open command prompt window as an administrator by pressing the Windows key + X and then clicking 'Command Prompt (Admin)' option.


Your desired Command Prompt Window will open.


3. In the command prompt window opened type  format E: /fs:FAT32 and press Enter.
4. If prompted press Y (yes) to format and wait untill the formatting completes to 100 percent.

Your USB flash drive is now completely formatted using FAT32 system.

METHOD 2 : Burn Windows 7 (64-bit) iso or Windows 8 (64-bit) iso to usb flash drive. Following are the steps

1. Download and install a free software ISO2disc. You can download it here : goo.gl/1Mmtyp

2. Install and launch  ISO2Disc.

3. Click on Browse button and select the location of your Windows 7 (64-bit) iso or Windows 8 (64-bit) iso file.

4. Select burn to usb option.

5. In partition style select GPT.

6. Click on start button and after few minutes till the burning process completes you will have a UEFI Bootable USB to install 64-bit version of Winows 8 or Windows 7.

Note: UEFI bootable USB works only with 64-bit version of windows but you can burn the 32 bit version of windows for creating  a USB bootable pen drive for normal installation (non-UEFI).
